Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 July 2026

AILoadout (“we”) takes your privacy seriously. This document explains what data we collect, what we use it for, and how you can control it. We collect only the minimum necessary to provide the service.

01Information We Collect

When you sign in with GitHub or Google, we receive from those providers only:

  • Your display name and profile picture (avatar) — to show who created a Loadout
  • Your GitHub/Google user ID — to remember your account

We do not store and cannot see your password, because we use the OAuth 2.0 standard — authentication happens directly on GitHub/Google's side.

In addition, we collect:

  • Content you create or submit, such as Loadouts (name, description, list of components) and items you submit for review
  • Basic usage data, such as a temporary IP address, solely to prevent spam and enforce rate limits

02Cookies and Browser Storage

  • Session cookie (__Host-alosid) — keeps you logged in. Set as HttpOnly + Secure (unreadable by JavaScript, to prevent theft)
  • localStorage — stores a device identifier (for likes), your light/dark theme, and the AI tools you have selected, on your own device

We have no advertising cookies and no third-party cross-site trackers.

03How We Use Your Data

  • Authenticate you and keep you logged in
  • Display the creator's name/picture on Loadouts you create and share
  • Provide the website and improve its quality
  • Prevent abuse and spam

04Data Sharing

We do not sell your data and do not share it with third parties for marketing. Profile data obtained at login comes directly from GitHub/Google — please also refer to the privacy policies of GitHub and Google.

05Storage and Security

Data is stored on our own servers, connected entirely over HTTPS, with backups maintained. We use reasonable measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure, so we collect only what is necessary.

06Your Rights

  • Log out at any time from the profile menu
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and data by contacting us
  • Disconnect linked accounts from your GitHub/Google settings page

07Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If there are significant changes, we will update the date above and post a notice on the website.
